Building a Community Staple: The Rise of the Health IT Summit

Opportunity

Yes& has provided association and event management for AFCEA Bethesda since 2014, helping the organization foster partnerships between government and industry around critical IT, energy, and infrastructure challenges. Focused on the civilian federal market, the chapter has more than 1,800 members, including professionals from leading B2G organizations such as Booz Allen, Dell Technologies, Google Public Sector, GDIT, Microsoft, and Oracle.

One of its premier programs, the Health IT Summit (HITS), has grown into a leading forum for federal health IT innovation. As attendance, sponsorship, and visibility increased, AFCEA Bethesda needed to scale the event while maintaining the high-touch, community-driven experience behind its success.

Solution

Yes& elevated HITS across every attendee touchpoint - from strategy and programming to branding, sponsorship, logistics, and onsite execution. Working as an extension of AFCEA Bethesda, we brought together government leaders, industry partners, speakers, sponsors, and vendors to deliver a seamless experience.

The results: more than $1 million in sponsorship and registration revenue, record-breaking attendance, and the most successful summit in the organization’s history—further establishing HITS as a must-attend event for the federal health IT community.
