As an integral part of our paid media team, the Advertising Operations Manager manages the workflow, resourcing, and collaboration between the media, brand strategy, creative, content, and account teams. The right candidate will be highly organized and detail-oriented and able to manage priorities and team resources across various clients and campaigns. You will work with the media team to streamline internal workflows and ensure that all media budgets, assets, and deliverables are clearly documented and communicated across teams. You will also ensure that campaign assets meet our quality standards, are built to spec, are trafficked accurately to internal teams or media partners, and are executed on time.
What you will do
- Develop and streamline internal processes and systems, including media invoice tracking, purchase order setup and tracking, media team resourcing, and detailed specs sheets
- Lead media system integration efforts to new and existing clients for agency-wide alignment
- Standardize presentation and reporting formats (templates for media plans, monthly/biweekly paid media reports, wrap reports, dashboards, etc.)
- Analyze marketing workflow and identify areas for improvement and/or automation
- Understand the media and channel strategies, with thorough documentation of required media assets, specs, and trafficking deadlines
- Work with account and project management teams to allocate media team resourcesu202fand identify potential bottlenecks or collisions early on
- Maintain an agency-wide master flight schedule for all active and planned campaigns, including team roles and resourcing, anticipated spending, and other high-level details
- Build and update campaign schedules, budgets, and trafficking documents
- Communicate across teams to ensure complete alignment on creative assets needed, delivery milestones, and trafficking lead times
- Organize and traffic assets, purchase orders, and insertion orders
- Coordinate with project, account, and accounting teams to reconcile billing
- Manage media kanban, team meetings, and process-related training
Experience you need
- Bacheloru2019s degree in a relevant field (Communications, Marketing, etc.)
- 3-5+ years of combined media and project management-related experience, preferably in an agency setting, with at least 1-2 years of experience in Media Operations Management, Campaign Management, Project Management, or a related position
- Proficient understanding of digital, social, and traditional media channels, assets, specs, and best practices
- Ability to provide clear and logical deliverable requirements by channel, ad unit, sizes/specs, versions, and more
- Exceptional communication, organizational, and project management skills
- Demonstrated ability to multi-task, prioritize, and proactively manage deadlines
- Eagerness to work on multiple clients and campaigns at the same time
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and familiarity with project management tools (Workamajig, Basecamp, Trello, Jira, etc.)
- Working knowledge of current research and analytical tools, including Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager
Experience that would be a plus, but not required
- Programmatic buying or campaign managementin digital marketing platforms, including (but not limited to) Google CM360, DV360, AdWords, Meta, LinkedIn, and Display / Video / OTT networks
- Experience or desire to analyze campaign performance and suggest optimizations to improve channel or creative performance
- Proficiency in Google Analyticsu202fandu202fGoogle Tag Manager, including configuring triggers and conversion tags.
- Familiarity with government, association, or higher education clients
