Yes& is seeking a dynamic Director of Events with a proven track record in event strategy, logistics, and client relationship management. This role is responsible for leading the planning and execution of high-impact events and conferences—from ideation through post-event analysis. The ideal candidate will be both a strategic thinker and an operational expert, able to manage budgets, lead cross-functional teams, and cultivate long-term client partnerships. You’ll play a pivotal role in delivering seamless, goal-driven experiences that elevate our clients’ brands and drive business results.
Key Responsibilities: Client & Account Management
- Build and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with clients, serving as a strategic advisor and lead point of contact.
- Identify and capitalize on growth opportunities within accounts.
- Collaborate with internal teams to align services with client needs and deliver integrated agency solutions.
Event Strategy & Execution
- Design and implement comprehensive event strategies and timelines that align with client objectives and KPIs.
- Oversee budget development and management, including vendor negotiations and sponsorship strategy.
- Lead and motivate internal teams, external vendors, and on-site staff to ensure flawless event execution.
- Provide creative and logistical solutions to elevate the attendee experience.
Agency Operations & Collaboration
- Promote and apply event management best practices and efficient workflows across the agency.
- Oversee billing, invoicing, and account receivables to ensure financial accuracy and timely payments.
- Collaborate across teams via Agile ceremonies (Roadmaps, Check-Ins, Kanbans, etc.) to drive project transparency and alignment.
Business Development
- Actively contribute to new business efforts, including RFPs, proposal development, and pitch strategy.
- Identify and pursue new revenue streams and partnership opportunities.
Professional Development & Agile Participation
- Attend professional development sessions to stay current with industry trends.
- Participate in Agile team meetings and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Required Skills & Experience
- 10+ years of experience in event management, marketing, or communications with strong exposure to strategy, production, vendor management, and budgeting.
- Exceptional organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple complex events simultaneously.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage clients and stakeholders.
- Proven ability to analyze information, solve problems, and make decisions under pressure.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace. Familiarity with various event platforms and registration systems is a plus.
- Experience with budgeting, financial tracking, and sponsorship development preferred.
