The Business Systems Manager will apply correct and effective business processes to maintain the IT health of the company and support all aspects of the business.

Responsibilities

Support the operational needs of team members

Oversee IT management

  • Negotiate contracts with consultants, technical personnel, and vendors for services and products
  • Monitor reports of computer and peripheral equipment production, malfunction, and maintenance to determine costs and impact on the organization
  • Compile, prepare, and update technical procedure manuals

Support technology needs of the company

  • Provide all agency systems integration and support
  • Provide support to end users in the selection, procurement, usage, and maintenance of software programs and hardware
  • Compile, prepare, and update technical procedure manuals
  • Provide onsite training for team members

Maintain IT health of the company

  • Develop, maintain, and test disaster recovery plans
  • Address and correct systems problems
  • Develop, implement, and monitor information systems policies and controls to ensure data accuracy, security, legal and regulatory compliance

Embrace other duties as assigned

Required Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or related field
  • 4+ years of work experience with business systems applications required

Strong Communication

  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures and regulations
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other team members in the organization

Exceptional Reasoning Ability

  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of situations
  • Ability to work independently and make decisions within the scope of responsibility along with judgement to escalate problems appropriately
